Update on our membership packages: We understand that sometimes a year commitment may seem impossible or get you booking right out the door. So here at the Nest we have changed how our packages look.
Nest Fitness key fobs will be required to access facilities. These are available for a one-time fee of $20.
Once your account is created, make sure to check out our membership options. Creating an account does not automatically sign up for membership!
Located in the previous Downtown YMCA, the brand new Nest Fitness is conveniently located near your workplace, making it easy to fit in that early morning, noon, or post-work workout.
The newly renovated fitness facility is large and well-equipped, offering a wide range of workout equipment and classes to suit different fitness goals and preferences.
Working out in a group setting or around other people can be a great motivator. Nest Fitness offers the opportunity to meet new people and work out in a social environment. We are actively working on making our facility completely accessible. However, in the current condition, the fitness facility is only accessible by stairs. If you have any questions regarding accessibility, please feel free to contact us.
The Nest offers additional amenities such as the swimming pool, and steam room. Which is a great way to relax and unwind after your workout. We recognize that the fitness facilities were not originally developed with the most equitable and inclusive amenities and are addressing this as we continue to redevelop. We encourage you to reach out directly to info@nesthealth.ca to learn more about the fitness + amenities, our phased build plan, and the various a la carte options that will be available for all members.
The Nest has experienced trainers and instructors who can provide guidance and support to help members reach their fitness goals.
The safety and security of our community is priority. Nest Fitness will be accessible through a separate, dedicated door on the Northwest side of the main building, facing McIntyre Street. This entrance will be video monitored at all times, will have a staff member right inside on the other side, and will have additional security and custodial staff on-site during regular operating hours. The fitness centre will be accessible via keyfob from the outside door, assigned to each member at time of first visit. A two-way camera and buzzer will also be installed at the dedicated entrance for inside staff to speak to and see who is entering the building. Members can bring their own locks to keep their personal belongings secure, usable on the lockers both on the fitness floor and inside locker rooms.
