Will you be accepting new patients?
We are in the midst of building our physician team and will be adding your name to our list of future patients. Stay tuned for regular email updates regarding the clinic, opening late-2023
Is this a private or public medical clinic?
Our clinical services will operate as any other public-health insured medical office in the province! You would visit the doctors at The Nest Health Centre under your provincial health coverage as you would anywhere else. Non-publicly insured services such as prescription medication, massage therapy, physiotherapy, orthodontics, optometry, and so forth, will also operate as any other establishment in the province. For example, if you have coverage through work under a benefits plan, you would submit those receipts as you currently do visiting other providers.
Do you currently offer special rates such as student or senior discounts, corporate rates, or neighbourhood rates?
Memberships start at $65/month with a $50 equipment payment of one time. As of now, there are no special rates, but as more amenities become available and more of the facility is revitalized and built, we’ll reassess our packages.
Will there be special fitness programs directed to seniors or children?
We are always building our schedule and working with various community partners to bring in group classes, specialty classes for all age groups, and personal training options.
What are your hours of operation?
We are now a 24hr operational facility – with fob access. A fob can be purchased at the desk with our front desk, and registered to your profile on hand.
When will the pools be open and will they be open to the public?
We are in the process of revitalizing the pool areas and once ready, they will be open to both the public and community partners. In terms of space rental and use, there will be dedicated patient therapy times, but also open times for public use, private classes, and group classes.
Will there be basketball courts?
We are in the process of revitalizing the gymnasium area where the previous basketball courts were and once ready, they will be open to both the public and community partners. In terms of space rental and use, there will be dedicated patient times, but also open times for public use, private bookings, and group classes.
When will the climbing walls be open?
We are working with our builders to get the climbing walls installed and staffed. We will have an update on timing by early Spring. Once open, the climbing walls will be available under Nest Fitness membership add-ons and stand alone a la carte services.

When will the temporary shelter be open and for how long will it be operational?
We have hosted the temporary shelter since January of 2023. Going forward The City of Regina and Province of Saskatchewan, with the co-operation of The Nest and RT/SIS, have made arrangements that will allow the temporary shelter at The Nest to continue its operations past the original closure date of September 30. The City continues to work the Province of Saskatchewan and other stakeholders towards the goal of a permanent shelter.
How many people will the temporary shelter serve?
55 spaces will be available.
Why is The Nest Health Centre a good space for the temporary shelter?
This temporary space of 26,000 sq ft on the main floor of the building includes offices and a gym area for the communal shelter. It can accommodate counselling rooms and other supportive agencies to come on site for one-on-ones. There is existing access to showers and washroom facilities, as well as a kitchen. It’s also centrally located, close to other support services, amenities and transit. As a healthcare facility our mission is to prompt and improve the wellness of our patients. This initiative allows us to leverage our existing space as we continue to revitalize the building.
Could this turn into a permanent shelter at The Nest Health Centre?
This shelter is not a long-term solution. It is a short-term measure to operate until longer-term solutions continue to be explored by the City of Regina, RTSIS, and the Government of Saskatchewan. The Nest Health Centre is providing the space for these partners to fully operate and staff the temporary shelter.
Will there be heightened security at the Nest during the time the shelter is in place?
RT/SIS will be operating the shelter and will be responsible for all internal security services for a 24/7 presence in the building. The City will also ensure there is a security camera system to help with monitoring and will provide contracted security to patrol the area outside the building. Regina Police Services may also have an increased presence in the neighborhood to enhance the safety and well-being of the shelter residents, staff and neighbors. Our NW entrance into the gym is always locked, and accessed by either your key fob, or there is a two way camera and intercom system where we can see, and hear who we are letting in.
Will there be heightened security for paying fitness members?
Nest Fitness will only be accessible through the West side of the building, through the doors facing McIntyre Street. This is a completely separate entry designated only for fitness club members. Entry into the door will be possible with your assigned key fob, which you will be receiving after your first visit to the gym! This entry way will also have a two way camera and intercom for our front desk staff to communicate with and visualize those entering the building.
Will paying fitness members be entering the facility through the same entry as those using the temporary shelter?
With many aspects of the larger health centre still being revitalized and built, there will be contractors, individuals, and community groups coming in and out of the main doors facing 13th Avenue. This is in adding to the RT/SIS Temporary Shelter in place. This is another reason why we have a designated, secured entrance to Nest Fitness on the West side of the building facing McIntyre Street in order to eliminate any cross-traffic between fitness members and all other groups. The temporary shelter will only be accessible through the main doors facing 13th Avenue.
How is the Fitness Centre being secured?
Beyond our monitoring and alarm systems in place, we will also have security guards and custodial staff in the building at all times, to ensure there is someone to ask should you have any concerns or questions about your surroundings.
How do I access Nest Fitness?
Nest Fitness will be located inside The Nest Health Centre, and will only be accessibly via member key fob through the West entry facing McIntyre Street. The majority of the facility is still under construction and will be closed off to public and Nest Fitness members, including the area designated for the temporary shelter. This means that we will have a temporary route in place to get to the fitness area on the second floor of the building. Rest assured that all amenities listed in the packages at time of purchase will be available, but to ensure there is no foot traffic in construction zones and shelter area throughout the building, many interior doors and corridors will not be accessible for the time being.
How will the Fitness facilities stay cleaned?
We have a dedicated maintenance and cleaning staff group to keep the fitness centre comfortable and clean! Regular cleaning and sanitization protocols are in place, as you would expect at any other fitness and high-touch facility. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the work-out areas and locker rooms. We encourage members to come into Nest Fitness feeling as comfortable as you need to. This includes bringing your own mask should you wish to.
