COLLABORATIVE HEALTHCARE CENTRE – REGINA’S NEWEST & LARGEST

The Nest Health Centre, a one-stop centre for healthcare and well-being being built in Regina at the site of the former YMCA downtown facility at 2400 13th Avenue.

REGINA, SK – Individuals and families in Regina and surrounding areas will soon have superior access to a full range of healthcare services with the opening of a new kind of integrated medical facility, The Nest Health Centre – opening in mid-2023.

The Nest is unique because it is one-stop medical facility run by a caring team of physicians collaborating with allied healthcare practitioners and fully supported with on-site wellbeing and lifestyle facilities. The new facility will include medical offices, medical imaging & labs, pools, physiotherapy, a gymnasium, climbing walls, a health focused-restaurant and childcare facilities.

Patients who require a multifaceted healthcare plan will be able to make a single trip and find a full range of medical specialists. Additionally, alternative healthcare seekers, fitness, and sports enthusiasts will be able to access the unique facilities and holistic care they need.

“A major challenge many Saskatchewan families face is disconnected and fractured care due to the lack of easy and timely access.” says spokesperson, Neha Jain. “The Nest symbolizes an integrated, safe, and end-to-end approach to healthcare that aims to drastically reduce the need for patients to visit multiple sites to fulfill a shared healthcare plan. Doctors and healthcare providers are able to deliver seamless, high-quality care in a facility custom-built to provide the proper infrastructure and support they need to let them focus on their patients”.

The Nest aims to reopen the two pool areas, gymnasium, and fitness facilities to serve both patient care through hydrotherapy and rehabilitation, but also bring back this public space option.

By providing an attractive and supportive environment, The Nest will attract top-quality talent to work and stay in Saskatchewan. For example, its integrated childcare facility, which provides reserved childcare facilities for staff and drop-in care for visitors, addresses a key challenge for working parents and removes a barrier for parents who wish to re-enter the healthcare workforce.
