Robert Kraakman is a dedicated Clinical Kinesiologist and an active member of the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance (CKA). Specializing in human movement, Robert possesses comprehensive expertise in active rehabilitation and performance enhancement. His professional scope encompasses a broad range of conditions, including cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, and mental health challenges, as well as performance optimization.
Robert began his academic journey in British Columbia and earned his degree from the University of Regina. During his studies, he gained valuable practical experience as a student Kinesiologist in a health clinic and as a personal trainer, building a strong foundation in both clinical and fitness environments.
Before transitioning into kinesiology, Robert worked in trades, including roles as a drywaller, oil rig roughneck, and boilermaker. These hands-on experiences provided him with unique insights into workplace health and the physical demands faced by labor-intensive professions. His background equips him to deliver practical, real-world treatments and assessments tailored to his clients’ needs.
A former competitive athlete, Robert played box lacrosse for the Poco Saints at the intermediate and junior A levels, as well as the Senior A Maple Ridge Burrards. In field lacrosse, he represented Team British Columbia at the U-18 nationals as a long-pole midfielder and defenseman. His athletic background deepens his understanding of performance and recovery, further enhancing his ability to support clients in achieving their goals.
